Our partners have different target groups and cooperate with different organisations in their development work in developing countries. These targets groups and organisations are indirectly profiting by NSD through the partners’ increased level of competence. Another way for them to benefit is through the specific tools developed by NSD.
One of NSD’s overall purposes is to spread the knowledge and application of development through sport. Development organisations without specific experiences or competences within Sport and Development might be interested in the topic and can potentially benefit from integrating Sport and Development in their work as well.
Hence, the network will work towards getting a series of other Danish organisations to implicate Sport and Development in their work in the future. Thereby, these organasations make up an additional target group. Especially further information and knowledge to students at universities and folk high schools is in focus.
Though NSD is a network for Danish stakeholders – international organisations and experts is being implicated as well. This is of relevance at conferences, workshops and other events.
The network seeks inspiration from other organisations working with sport and development – e.g. in connection with education, human rights, childrens’ condition or conflict management. However, it is just as important to involve and engage other development organisations that do not work with the theme of development through sport.
